SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM MISSION

POVERTY = lack of education + poor health + unemployment + crime = DESTROYED ECONOMY

The reparation sponsorship program was not only designed to repay the descendants of African enslaved persons. The program was also designed to end black poverty and strengthen suffering economies. People of color in poverty tend to have levels of overall debt, relative to their incomes, 20 to 25 per cent higher than those of the population as a whole. At the end of the day, debt will kill the global economy.

MONEY MANAGEMENT

MONEY MANAGEMENT = budgeting + saving + investing + smart spending = END BLACK POVERTY

The issuance of a reparation payment is only the starting point to end black people money problems. It’s going to boil down to what an individual does with the reparation payment in order to get out of poverty. Be good cheer! Reparation sponsorship recipients must complete a mandatory money management course. After much research, we decided to go with practical well thought out study material created by National Endowment for Financial Education. The study material covers Spending & Saving, Credit & Debt and Investing. A total of 4 worksheets must be completed and submitted for our review. There are 3 timed quizzes consisting of 50 questions in total. A passing grade of 70% or higher is required. We provide individuals selected for sponsorship with one full week to study the material online and complete the quizzes. Watch the video to learn more!

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

ENTREPRENEURSHIP = entrepreneur + new business + job opportunities = ECONOMY GROWTH

We are working hard to secure business partners connected to opportunities in entrepreneurship that are willing to provide flexible terms to our reparation sponsorship recipients for the purposes of building personal wealth and growing the economy. A financial coach will be right there to help reparation sponsorship recipients to better prepare for their career and financial goals.

REPARATION DOLLARS & ECONOMY GROWTH

It’s time to take an in depth look at the sponsorship program mission and how a reparation contribution will strengthen the economy beginning with EDUCATION.

A reparation payment will pay for secondary education.

EDUCATION PAYS

A reparation payment will pay for secondary education.

HOW LACK OF EDUCATION WEAKENS THE ECONOMY: Research shows that 30% of children raised in poverty do not finish high school. People who do not earn a high school diploma by age 20 are 7 times more likely to be persistently poor between ages 25 and 30. Children who grow up impoverished complete fewer years of schooling and earn much lower income than people who did not grow up poor.

HOW EDUCATION STRENGTHENS THE ECONOMY: A typical developed economy will include various industries with different competitive advantages and disadvantages in the global marketplace. The education and training of a country’s workforce is a major factor in determining how well the country’s economy will perform.

HEALTH COUNTS

HOW BAD HEALTH WEAKENS THE ECONOMY: Poverty is both a cause and a consequence of poor health. Poor health can negatively affect both labour force participation and productivity. For individuals, it can result in reduced income or unemployment; for businesses, it may mean productivity losses, and labour and skills shortages; for governments, it could result in a reduced tax base.

HOW GOOD HEALTH STRENGTHENS THE ECONOMY: Healthy people drive strong economies. Better health is central to human happiness and well-being. It also makes an important contribution to economic progress, as healthy populations live longer, are more productive, and save more.

A reparation payment will make crime an after thought.

LESS CRIME

A reparation payment will make crime an after thought.

HOW CRIME WEAKENS THE ECONOMY: People living in households in the US that have an income level below the Federal poverty threshold have more than double the rates of violent victimization compared to individuals in high-income households. If crime levels rise, there will be less money for other services such as education and healthcare. Crime also costs individuals through higher prices in shops for good and services.(the reparation payment will increase net worth

HOW LESS CRIME STRENGTHENS THE ECONOMY: Criminal activity acts like a tax on the entire economy: it discourages domestic and foreign direct investments, it reduces firms’ competitiveness, and reallocates resources creating uncertainty and inefficiency. A certain study estimated savings for municipal budgets from a 25 percent reduction in violent crimes. Money saved here could be reinvested into healthcare, education, community programs etc. The sky’s the limit.

JOBS MATTER

A reparation payment will enable a family to start a business.

HOW UNEMPLOYMENT WEAKENS THE ECONOMY: Among the factors that often contribute to poverty are unemployment and underemployment. Put simply, many people live in poverty because they are unable to find a job that pays a living wage—or to find a job at all. Poverty and unemployment do not affect everyone equally. People of color suffer from both unemployment and poverty disproportionately.

HOW EMPLOYMENT STRENGTHENS THE ECONOMY: Small businesses contribute to local economies by bringing growth and innovation to the community in which the business is established. Small businesses also help stimulate economic growth by providing employment opportunities to people who may not be employable by larger corporations.

REPARATION DOLLARS & DEBT RECOVERY

REPARATION CONTRIBUTION = job creation + economy growth + accumulated taxable income = DEBT RECOVERY

If the economy is destroyed we will all suffer — the rich and the poor, the black and the white along with everybody and everything in between. Teamwork built the economy. It’s going to take teamwork to recover the economy. There is agreement among economists that the only way to reduce annual deficits and pay down the debt is for the government to collect more than it spends. You’ve come to learn that our reparation sponsorship program is heavily concentrated on money management and entrepreneurship which will subsequently result in job creation. More jobs will allow governments to collect more taxes which will ultimately result in debt recovery. This is not rock science folks.

Considering a reparation payment will result in job creation, we can assume that the national debt will be lowered by (at the very least) the difference between a reparation contribution minus the national debt. Let’s find out how much a single reparation contribution will decrease the national debt, keeping in mind that the Reparation Hub sponsorship program is currently available in English speaking African diaspora nations of the west, reflective in the chart below. We plan on expanding the sponsorship program into French, Spanish and Portuguese African diaspora nations in the future. If you’re wondering how we came up with, what we believe are, fair and just reparation figures, click here.
